Linda has sewn all her life, beginning at the feet of her mother, using fabric scraps to make clothes for her Barbie dolls.
She grew up in NE Ohio and took her first official sewing class in 7th grade.  Linda attended her Freshmen year in college at Ohio University in the field of Journalism and became President of her dorm. She transferred Sophomore year to Kent State University to pursue a degree in Marketing while taking sewing classes from the Design School. After graduation Linda obtained a position in the International Department of Roadway Express, a trucking company in Akron. She worked with many agents across the globe to help establish Roadway's international shipping business.  Her aspiration for clothing design switched gears with the purchase of a first home.  Linda began to search for classes on interior design and sewing while still working full time at Roadway Express.
In 1997, with a burning desire to own her own business, Linda began a career with her favorite skin care company, Mary Kay. This low risk endeavor gave her a creative path to follow. Still, it wasn't until she and her husband built a new home in Valley City, OH that the idea of A Room With A View Studio came to light. In March of 2000, Linda quit her 10 year career at Roadway to pour herself full-time into the creative business of sewing.

In 2010, along with 14 other NE Ohio Workrooms, Linda devoted a LONG but FUN fall weekend to Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.  The Anderson's, a family from Maple Heights, OH, received a new home filled with custom draperies, cushions, bedding, pillows, upholstered walls and even a heart shaped doggie bed for Valentine. The camaraderie and friendships made were well worth the long hours and 2a.m. install!
In March she returned from attending one of many Design and Workroom Conference's with increased knowledge of the design and window treatment industry.  Linda is a current member of the Greater Cleveland Drapery Professionals, past President & Secretary of the NE Ohio Chapter of the Window Coverings Association of America.  She is also an 11-year member of the Valley City Chamber of Commerce--and current President; on the Medina County Women's Endowment Fund-Festival of Trees Committee; & 2009 graduate of Leadership Medina County .

"Working with Linda was a real pleasure. In the beginning I was not sure what look I was going for but with her vision and patience she helped me to explore all the possibilities. She provided advice and presented many various alternatives for window treatments that incorporated accessories that we already had. We were delighted with the way the rooms turned out and have had many compliments.
I would highly recommend A Room With A View Studio. Linda has a vast variety of materials and ideas to make any room come to life."

"Linda created custom draperies for my family room and I can't say enough good things about her professionalism, attention to detail, and the excellent execution. In addition, she gracefully worked within my artistic vision of the project which I know, at times, did not entirely meet her high quality standards. And she was very good at telling me when my "vision" would not yield the result I was seeking. The results of her work are beautiful drapes that I highly enjoy and that will be a part of my decorating scheme for years to come. I would engage her services again without reservation."
